Curiosity... It's what has bought you to this page. It's what led Alice to follow the rabbit down the rabbit hole. Curiosity is free-wheeling intelligence. On the subject of intelligence, allow me to introduce to you to the curious phenomena of...

The Ambidextrous Brain

Those who are right-handed use the left side of the brain and those who are left-handed use the right side of the brain and depending on which side of the brain you use you will have a proclivity for either creativity or logical thought.
I am the exception to this rule - having equal parts of creative and logical intelligence. Initially, you may think there is an element of dischord here and that there will perpetually be a fight between the likes of Albert Einstein and Jackson Pollock going on inside my head. In fact, the two sit together sharing tea, coffee and cakes building on a cacophony of ideas.

Advertisng needs this synchronization of creative genius and rational thought.

Now allow me to draw on the words of the two of the most influential figures in advertising:

"I do not regard advertising as entertainment or an art form, but as a medium of information.
David Ogilvy

Creative without strategy is called 'art.' Creative with strategy is called 'advertising.'
Jef I. Richards
